Located in beautiful Capay Valley, Blue Ridge Farm is an experimental agricultural station. The farm features organic soil conditioning, solar powered irrigation, experimental solar power generating trellis, natural hedgerow insect control, 80+ varieties of rare fruit trees cloned from 100 year old survivor trees of the Sierras, 400 rare Boysenberry plants now in their 2nd and 3rd year, 6 unusual varieties of cherry, apricot, plum interspecies trees, a Bass fishing pond, long horn cattle and chickens, and a 55 acre reforestation project. We are proud to have partnered with the Felix Gillet Institute for rare fruit tree preservation.

Boysenberries! During our annual Boysenberry Bash we will sell paper containers for you to fill for $10 each and tasting while you pick is encouraged! Car Parking and drinks are provided for free and we look forward to seeing you!
We offer Hay rides, tractor rides, long horned cattle and chickens, saw horse cow roping, corn hole, fishing, hiking and we have a large grass area for running-a-muck. The grounds have picnic tables and in the Barn has recipes for Jam, a history of the Capay Valley, and displays of the science behind the farm! The farm is on the Blue Hills wilderness border and at dusk hours we have seen a variety of wild animals including Deer, Coyotes, Fox, Rabbits, Geese, Mountain Lions, and an occasional snake.
Capay Valley has several wonderful places to visit as you come up highway 16 including; The Roadtrip Bar and Grill in the town of Capay, Taber Ranch Winery and Event Center, Capay Lavender Farm, Cache Creek Casino and golf course, and Seka Hills Olive Oil Company. You will drive past all of these adventures as you drive the last 6 miles to the farm along Highway 16 from the Bay Area!
Blue Ridge is an operating farm and our little valley can be quite hot in the summer. Be sure to bring lots of sunscreen, big hats, and closed-toed shoes! While we offer drinks and snacks, bringing a picnic lunch and spreading out under the trees makes a wonderful day!
For the safety of your pet and our visitors we require that dogs be on a leash at all times and dogs are not allowed to enter the Orchard or Berry Patch areas. We appreciate your understanding.
